Mt. Shasta Ski Park
Skiing and snowboarding in winter, downhill mountain biking in summer. Family-friendly, affordable, and without the chaos or expense of Tahoe.

Year-Round Mountain Playground
On the lower southern flank of the mountain, Mount Shasta Ski Park is the region's year-round playground. It's genuinely family-friendly, with terrain that welcomes first-timers as readily as seasoned skiers.
In winter, chairlifts and a tubing area open up runs for downhill skiing and snowboarding, with lessons and rentals on hand for anyone learning, plus night skiing and a cozy base lodge to warm up in.
When the snow melts, the mountain shifts gears entirely: scenic chairlift rides for the views, a lift-served mountain bike park with trails built for every level, disc golf, live music, and food and drinks in the base area.
The setting is the real draw in any season, with sweeping views of Mount Shasta itself and the surrounding Cascade peaks from the top of the lifts. It's an easy drive from the Inn along Highway 89 toward McCloud, making it simple to head up for a few hours or a full day.
