We want your stay to be easy from start to finish. Here’s everything you need to know about staying with us, from booking to check-out and everything in between.

Cancellations & Modifications

Standard Rooms (King, Two Queen, Accessible Rooms)

Cancellations made more than 3 days before arrival (by 3:00 PM) are free of charge. If you cancel within 3 days of arrival, you will be charged one night’s room and tax. If you shorten your stay after check-in, you will be charged one additional night’s room and tax.

Premium Suites (Bunk Suite, Family Suite, Premier Suite)

May 1 through September 30: Cancellations or changes made within 7 days of arrival result in a charge of 100% of the reservation cost.

October 1 through April 30: Our standard cancellation policy applies—one night’s room and tax for cancellations within 3 days of arrival.

Early Departures

If you depart before your scheduled check-out date, you will be charged one additional night’s room and tax. For suites during peak season (May 1–September 30), you will be charged the full amount of your original reservation. Please plan accordingly.

Important Notes

As a small, family-owned property, we rely on our policies to serve all guests fairly. We’re not able to make exceptions, even for circumstances beyond your control like weather, road conditions, personal emergencies, or illness. This includes snow, wildfires, smoke, and road construction.

Changing Your Reservation

Call or text our front desk at (530) 918-9292 or email guestservices@innatmountshasta.com. Changes are subject to availability and must be made outside your cancellation window. Rate differences may apply.

Payment & Pricing

We accept all major credit cards. We process a $1 per night authorization when you book to validate your card. The full balance is charged when your cancellation window closes—72 hours before arrival for standard rooms, or 7 days before arrival for premium suites during peak season (May–September).

You will always find the lowest rate by booking directly with us. We never provide rates to third-party websites that are lower than what we offer at innatmountshasta.com or by phone at (530) 918-9292. Our direct rates are typically 10-15% lower than what’s available elsewhere. Group rates may be available for multiple rooms, but group availability is limited given our small size; we’re always happy to discuss if you contact us directly.

Check-in

Check-in time: 3:00 PM

Our front desk is staffed 24/7, so we can accommodate arrivals at any time. If you’re arriving after 10:00 PM, please call or text us at (530) 918-9292 so we know to expect you.
Bring a valid photo ID and the credit card used for booking (or another credit card for incidentals).


Early check-in is subject to availability and may be subject to an additional fee. Contact us the day of your arrival to ask. We’ll do our best to accommodate you if a room is ready.


Contactless check-in is available as an option. Text or call us at (530) 918-9292 to let us know you’d prefer to go straight to your room, and before your visit we’ll text you the appropriate digital registration card.

Room Capacity & Sleeping Arrangements

Every room type has a strict maximum occupancy that cannot be exceeded. Children stay free up to age 18 in existing bedding and must always be accompanied by an adult. There are no extra guest fees as long as you stay within your room’s maximum capacity.

Additional Sleeping Notes

A limited number of cribs (pack-n-plays) are available upon request in advance at no charge. No rollaway beds are available. Sleeper sofas in King Rooms and the Premier Suite must be requested in advance.

Which Room Is Best For…

Couples or solo travelers: King Room

Two couples traveling together: Family Suite (two separate bedrooms with privacy)

Family of 4: Two Queen Room, Bunk Suite, Family Suite, or Premier Suite

Larger families or groups: Family Suite (sleeps 6 on a King bed and two Queen beds) or Premier Suite (sleeps 6 on a King bed, a Bunk bed and a sleeper sofa; our largest at ~600 sq ft)

Guests needing accessibility features: Accessible King or Accessible Two Queen (ADA compliant with grab bars, accessible shower heads, extra maneuvering space; both rooms have accessible tub/shower combos but not a roll-in shower)

Pets

Dogs are welcome in our designated pet-friendly rooms. We have expansive grounds and large rooms that make us the best place in Mount Shasta to travel with your pet.


Fee: $25 per night

How to book: Add the “I’m bringing a pet!” option when booking, or let us know by text or phone before you arrive. Pet-friendly rooms are limited and must be noted at time of booking.

Important: Unregistered pets are subject to a $250 fee. Service animals are always welcome with no fee.

Our pet relief area is located just beyond the fire pit, and our huge lawn provides plenty of space for your dog. Please keep dogs leashed in common areas and do not leave pets unattended in your room.

Parking & Property

Free on-site parking is available for all guests. It’s extremely convenient to access your room from our parking lot.

Our hotel has two levels (ground floor and second floor). We don’t have an elevator, but our team is often available to help you bring your bags up the one flight of stairs if you’d like assistance. Our Bunk Suite, Family Suite, and Premier Suite are located only on the second floor.


You can request a specific floor when booking, and we’ll do our best to accommodate—but we can’t guarantee floor preferences.

Smoking

The Inn at Mount Shasta is 100% non-smoking in all indoor and outdoor guest areas. We do have a designated outdoor smoking area, set away from our rooms and guest areas. Smoking in rooms or on balconies or walkways results in a minimum $250 charge.

Guests, Visitors & Minimum Age

The minimum age for the responsible party on a reservation is 18. The registered guest is responsible for the actions of all guests and visitors associated with their reservation.

All guests staying overnight must be registered on the reservation. Day visitors are welcome at the sole discretion of our front desk team. The registered guest will be held responsible for any charges, damage, or policy violations caused by their visitors.

Quiet hours are 10:00 PM to 8:00 AM, but we ask that all guests be respectful 
of others at all hours.

Housekeeping & Services

We offer housekeeping every third day during longer stays. You can always request additional items by texting us, calling us, or visiting us in the lobby.

We don’t have dedicated guest laundry facilities. If our team and machines are available, we may be able to help on a case-by-case basis. Please ask at the front desk.

Baggage storage is available before check-in and after check-out, but we cannot be held responsible for damage or loss. Please check with us at the front desk.

Damage & Emergencies

Guests are responsible for any damage to the property. Damage charges will be assessed and billed to the card on file. Please report any issues to the front desk immediately so we can address them.

For medical emergencies, fire, or urgent security concerns, call 911 immediately, then notify the front desk at (530) 918-9292. For non-emergency issues, contact the front desk directly. From your room phone, dial 0.
