Dunsmuir Botanical Gardens
Native plants and peaceful riverside trails along the Upper Sacramento. Easy to walk past, worth stopping for.

Riverside Garden Oasis
A short drive south of the Inn, tucked into Dunsmuir's City Park along the Upper Sacramento River, the Dunsmuir Botanical Gardens are ten quiet acres of woodland, meadow, and riverbank tended by a devoted group of local volunteers. Paved and natural trails wind past native dogwoods, fragrant azaleas, and the rare Shasta lily, alongside rhododendrons, ferns, and Japanese maples.
With picnic tables, a playground, and the river murmuring through towering pines, it's an easy, peaceful place to wander, and admission is free. A lovely low-key stop for plant lovers, families, or anyone wanting a gentle hour in the shade by the water. Located only a few minutes from our sister property, The Angler Lodge.
