Leashed dogs are welcome throughout, making it a genuinely all-comers kind of place. it's a perfect place to burn off energy, toss a frisbee, or simply stroll with the peak as your backdrop.
The park's character shifts beautifully with the seasons. In summer, the fields and lawns host the beloved Sunday concert series and community festivals, and warm August nights even draw stargazers up to watch meteor showers from the open grass. Come winter, the park transforms with an outdoor ice rink — a nostalgic, only-in-the-mountains pleasure with Mount Shasta looming over the skaters. With ample parking, restrooms, and picnic spots, Shastice is an easy, free, and rewarding stop whether you've got restless kids, energetic dogs, or just an afternoon to enjoy in the fresh mountain air.
